About this knife
- Petty knives of this 125mm length are small, for detail work and compact boards.
- It has a Japanese-style (wa) handle: a handle without a metal bolster, set into the blade with a hidden tang.

Good to know for beginners
A petty is the small knife for the jobs a chef's knife is too big for: peeling, trimming, shallots, herbs and fruit in hand. At 125mm it is nimble enough for work in your hand.
